A  RECENT GRANDPAISM

Grandma  voiced a complaint about how she had planned to spend her latter days doing something more exciting than sitting in a lift chair.  Grandpa promptly replied:

"The best-laid schemes of mice and men  gang aft a-gley."

A little internet research revealed that this bit of wisdom came from Robert Burns' poem
"To a Mouse, on Turning Her Up in Her Nest with a Plough".

It would behoove you to read this poem, contemplate and enjoy.
